I had a moment of revelation that I have been making a piece of work all along but didn’t realise it. The lines on my body made with @jim_skins over the past 2 years resemble a Venn diagram and speaks to the connections we make both subconsciously within our bodies, at an atomic level, the synapsis firing to enable life. And the more conscious societal connections made between people and the systems we work within. Often it is invisible, and we cannot see it, but we feel it, the mass of information and interconnectivity that some days is overwhelming and creates a sense of inertia. But when viewed positively it enables us to connect communities and share our experiences.The work, a floating mass of threads resembles the lines that were theorised by Wolfgang Pauli and later observed by Luis Walter Alvarez when exploring particle acceleration, these fleeting moments will be frozen in time, allowing contemplation.
